OSCAR NOMINATED SINGER PERFORMS ON PETER BUFFETT'S "SONGS FROM AN EASTSIDE ATTIC" CD

Sultry singer-songwriter Kathleen "Bird" York will perform the song, "In The Deep" which she wrote with Michael Becker for the Oscar nominated film "Crash" Sunday March 5th.

Ms. York, collaborated with producer/composer Peter Buffett in Milwaukee on several songs. Two are featured on Buffett's, "Songs From An Eastside Attic" CD - a remake of the classic, "A Taste of Honey" and a Buffett original, "Cocktails for Two". "Songs From an Eastside Attic" is a quirky pop music compilation CD featuring singers Buffett has written songs for and has collaborated with in his East Side studio in Milwaukee. The CD is available at www.peterbuffett.com.

A mutual friend from Los Angeles suggested to Buffett that he experiment with the up and coming talent. "Bird had an amazing range and bigger than life personality in her voice. Because she is an actor she brought something to her vocals that was incredibly unique and exciting to work with", said Buffett.

Ms. York is a Narada/EMI artist, as was Peter Buffett who released 4 albums on the label. Her latest release is entitled, "Wicked Little High". Peter Buffett is best known for creating, producing and touring an acclaimed theatrical music and dance show, "Spirit - The Seventh Fire".

Viewers may recognize Ms. York as the congresswoman ex-wife of Toby Ziegler on "The West Wing" as the libidinous mother Renee Wheeler on "The O.C." or Lary David's masseuse on "Curb Your Enthusiasm".
