    • Lyrics

      What's the space in between
what we say and we mean?
And can we live a life that leads to our redemption?

      When I try to reveal
      where the wounds are concealed
all the ghosts just seem to stare in my direction

Tell me where you think you'll find
the best of what we left behind.
Tell me where you're running to.
      I'm tired of running blind

All the things that you say
      I could turn other ways
and dissolve them in a cloud of some deception

Tell me where you think you'll find
the best of what we left behind.
Tell me where you're running to.
      I'm tired of running blind

      learning it over and over
      hearing it over and over
and doing it over and over
and losing it over and over

Then you turn on a dime
when you're faced with the crime.
And then the memory fades with lack of some correction

      there's no correction

I'm tired of running blind with no correction
I'm tired of running blind with no connection

“Running Blind” is a song that can have personal meaning, but also conveys a universal message. Peter touches on the idea of progress, where we are going, what we’re doing with it and what it really means to progress. The song also delves into an aspect of politics – reading the paper and realizing that many seem to change their tune when questioned about things they’ve done, but never seem to really change their behaviors.

Taking a slight change from the norm musically, Peter uses a guitar in addition his piano to create the pop melodies in this track.
